Bibi and Zelensky are two peas in a pod; their goals are identical. They both want to get the USA directly involved in their respective wars. Of course, we are already directly involved in both Gaza and Ukraine, but they want us to go the extra distance. They want us to bleed and also pay the bill (beyond what we are already paying).
Bibi's loose talk about unilaterally attacking Iran's nuclear infrastructure is designed to poison the ongoing effort to come to some reasonable negotiated solution to the issue of a potential Iranian nuclear weapon. And Bibi has a good deal of help from the U.S. Congress, virtually all of whom are bought and paid for agents of the State of Israel.
Zelensky's provocative attacks, no doubt executed with significant support from both the UK and USA, are designed to provoke an overwhelming Russian response, which can then be used to justify the direct participation of NATO air and ground forces in combat against the Russians in Ukraine.
The US SecDef was recently blowing about how the USA would prevail in any war against the PRC should Beijing attempt to reunite Taiwan with the Mainland by force. When one examines the historical record of U.S. military success post-World War II, I would be very hesitant to commit our forces in direct combat against Russia, China or Iran.
But there appear to be no end of fools like Lindsey Graham and Tom Cotton who believe it would all be a cakewalk. Thoughtful men like the late J. William Fulbright don't serve in the Congress anymore.
And speaking of Lindsey Graham, let’s never forget his unbelievable comment yesterday about the Flotilla heading towards Gaza with food and medical supplies: “Let’s hope they can swim”. Given the history of Israeli violence towards Americans in the USS Liberty event, that’s a direct and credible threat of terrorism against unarmed aid workers.
Thank you for a deep and well written analysis. I’ve read quite a few over the last couple of days and this one touches on a wider range of issues, in a more perceptive manner than any of the others. You’re a treasure.
Ever a source of sober wisdom. Been reading your articles for years on LewRockwell; glad to see you on Substack.
As for nuclear war...what's a few hundred million people in a world of eight billion? They only want five hundred million total, anyway. Ordo ab chao...
So besides this being a fight about resources is this the fight about whos desert psychoses of who god is talking to,,, about,,, ever becoming resolved ,without the planet burned and goneeeeeeeeeee
So you expect a "limited nuclear exchange"?
No, but I think they do!
Which means it could happen.

If only you could have been offered the position Tulsi Gabbard is now discrediting with her failure to "do the right thing".
As one of your commenters stated, "You're a treasure." to which I would add, "too important and valuable a resource to ignore."
